Resistance, power and inhale style
Many higher-output sub ohm kits are designed for direct-to-lung (DTL) or restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) use. However, some lower-power pods also use coils below 1 ohm. A 0.8-ohm pod is not automatically equivalent to a high-output tank. Airflow, coil construction and the manufacturer’s operating range distinguish them.
Compare the parts that need to match

Liquid compatibility is model-specific
Some higher-output coils are intended for higher-VG liquids, but there is no universal VG/PG ratio for every coil below 1 ohm. Liquid that is too viscous for a particular coil can wick poorly; a thinner liquid can also behave differently in a tank designed for another ratio. Follow the coil maker’s guidance instead of assuming that all nicotine salts or all shortfills suit the same equipment.

Setup, charging and maintenance
Follow the supplied instructions for assembly, filling and the waiting period before first use. Stay within the installed coil’s power range. Coil life varies with the liquid, power and use, so a fixed replacement interval is not a guarantee.
Use the specified charging equipment. If a device uses removable cells, use the stated battery type and an appropriate protective case for spare cells. Do not use damaged cells or continue using equipment that overheats, leaks significantly or activates unexpectedly. Recycle electrical components through an appropriate collection point.

Does a coil below 1 ohm always mean DTL?
No. Low-power MTL pods can also have a resistance below 1 ohm. The airflow design and intended operating power matter alongside resistance.
Can any sub ohm coil fit any sub ohm tank?
No. A coil must belong to the compatible family for the exact tank or pod. Resistance is not a fit standard.
Are removable batteries and a charging cable always included?
No. Contents vary by kit and edition. Check the individual listing and manufacturer instructions before use.
Do higher-VG liquids prevent dry hits?
No. A thicker liquid can wick too slowly in an incompatible coil. Correct filling, preparation, liquid specification and power setting all matter; stop using a burnt or malfunctioning coil.
