Direct To Lung Vape Tanks

12 items

Direct-to-lung vape tanks use a more open draw and suitable sub-ohm coils. Compare airflow, filling access and the required power range, then check product availability and replacement-coil requirements. The collection includes tanks with replaceable coil heads and tanks with a built-in coil.

Replaceable coil or complete replacement tank?

Innokin Z Force uses compatible replacement coil heads. Innokin Go Max has a built-in coil, so the complete tank is replaced when it wears out. This affects the spare parts you need and ongoing maintenance.

Check the selected tank’s power and liquid recommendations before using it with your mod. Its connector and diameter must also suit the device.

Compare the available DTL choices

Start with the in-stock options, then compare draw adjustment, fill access and coil availability. The wider sub-ohm tank collection offers another way to browse this type of setup. Use the coil and pod finder to identify compatible coils instead of choosing by resistance alone.

How a DTL Tank Differs From an MTL Tank

MTL tank and sub ohm tank compared by draw, coil resistance and the liquid each takes

A direct-to-lung tank is built for one thing: pulling vapour straight down into the lungs. That needs wide airflow slots, a large bore drip tip, and coils under 0.6 ohm that can run at 40 watts and beyond. Feed it thick 70/30 shortfill liquid at 3mg or 6mg and you get big, smooth clouds with a soft throat hit. Try it with a 20mg nic salt and it is unpleasant, because the nicotine per puff is far too high.

Two tanks are in stock: the Innokin Z Force at £16.99 with replaceable coil heads, and the Innokin Go Max at £2.49, a complete tank with a built-in coil that you replace whole. If you want more choice, the sub ohm tanks collection is the same style of tank listed by resistance rather than draw, and sub ohm coils covers the replacement heads.

Setting Up a DTL Tank

Coil under 0.6 ohm

Low resistance is what makes the clouds. Check the wattage range printed on the coil and start at the bottom of it.

70/30 shortfill liquid

Thick, high VG liquid wicks properly in a wide coil and gives the softest hit. Add one or two nic shots to reach 3mg or 6mg.

A mod with real power

DTL coils need 40 watts or more, so a slim pen will not do. Pair the tank with a box mod or a sub ohm kit.

Direct To Lung Vape Tanks FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

3mg or 6mg. A direct-to-lung tank moves far more vapour per puff than a pod kit, so a low strength still delivers plenty of nicotine. Anything above 6mg tends to be harsh.

It is not a good match. Thin 50/50 liquid can leak or spit through wide sub ohm coils, and nicotine salts at pod strengths are too strong for this much vapour. Use a 70/30 shortfill instead.

The Go Max at £2.49 is a complete tank with a built-in coil: cheap, no maintenance, replaced whole when it wears out. The Z Force at £16.99 takes replaceable coil heads and adjustable airflow, so it costs less per coil over time and gives more control.
