What the nicotine-salt label tells you
Salt formulations use nicotine combined with an acid; the particular acid and formulation vary. Benzoic acid is used in some products, but it should not be assumed to be an ingredient in every nicotine salt. Check the product’s ingredient information.
Some formulations can feel less harsh than others. That sensation does not establish that a product is risk-free or predict a fixed nicotine dose. Nicotine is addictive, and vaping is not risk-free.
Read strength, formulation and ratio separately

Nicotine strengths and individual needs
There is no universal conversion between a nicotine-salt strength and a freebase strength, or between a cigarette count and one required e-liquid strength. Device output, formulation and use affect nicotine delivery. A category page cannot assess individual needs; a pharmacist or stop-smoking service can provide personalised support.
Concentration pages include 5mg, 9mg, 11mg and 16mg. Check nicotine type and availability on each product; these categories group strengths and are not a prescribed progression.
Match the liquid to the exact pod or coil
Many nicotine-salt products are supplied for lower-power refillable pods, but the bottle label and the coil maker’s guidance decide compatibility. Coil resistance alone is not a universal rule. Check the liquid ratio, recommended power and any nicotine guidance for the installed coil.
Bottled e-liquid belongs only in equipment designed to be refilled. Do not open a sealed prefilled pod to add liquid. Use the Coil and Pod Finder to identify parts, and confirm the exact model specification.
Storage and handling
Keep liquid in its labelled container with the cap secured, away from children and pets. Follow storage and expiry instructions, and avoid contact with leaking liquid. If a bottle is damaged or the specification is unclear, resolve that before use.
Nicotine-salt questions
Do all nic salts contain benzoic acid?
No single acid should be assumed for every product. Check the manufacturer’s ingredients for the specific formulation.
Does a smoother sensation mean a lower nicotine dose?
No. Sensation is not a reliable measure of nicotine exposure. Read the concentration and follow the equipment and liquid instructions.
Can I put any nicotine salt in any pod kit?
No. Check whether the pod is refillable and whether the liquid specification is supported by the exact coil and power setting.
Are nicotine salts risk-free?
No. They contain addictive nicotine, and vaping is not risk-free. Products should not be presented as harmless because they feel less harsh.
Does the strength shown on a product card guarantee that option is available?
Availability can differ between strengths and flavours. Open the product and confirm the exact option before relying on its availability.
