5mg salt and freebase labels
A 5mg salt liquid and a 5mg freebase liquid state the same nicotine concentration. Their formulations can feel different, but there is no universal conversion that makes 5mg salt equal to 6mg freebase. Absorption and nicotine exposure also depend on the device and how it is used.
Check the liquid and the device
Use the liquid specification recommended for the exact pod or coil. VG/PG ratio, coil design and power setting matter as well as nicotine concentration; a resistance number alone is not a compatibility rule. Sealed prefilled pods should not be opened to add bottled liquid.

Is 5mg salt equivalent to 6mg freebase?
No fixed equivalence applies. The labels describe different concentrations, and formulation, device output and use affect the experience. Do not treat a claimed “equivalent strength” as a measured dose.
Does 5mg describe the amount in the whole bottle?
No. It normally means 5mg of nicotine per millilitre. Check the label for mg/ml and the bottle volume; concentration and total quantity are different measurements.
Can a category tell me which strength I need?
