The bottle holds 100ml of flavoured liquid at 0mg and has 20ml of empty space. Add two 18mg nic shots and you have 120ml at 3mg, which is the standard sub ohm strength. Add one shot and you get 110ml at roughly 1.5mg, which suits people who are nearly off nicotine or who chain vape on a powerful kit. Some ranges, such as Ruthless Freeze, are also sold ready mixed at 3mg or 6mg if you would rather not do it yourself.

Squeeze the shots in, cap the bottle, shake it hard for thirty seconds and leave it ten minutes before filling a tank. Unshaken liquid gives you a few harsh puffs followed by a lot of weak ones. The catch is commitment. A hundred millilitres of one flavour is a fortnight or more of vaping, so it makes sense for a flavour you already know you like.
