High PG describes the liquid ratio

A higher-PG liquid has a greater proportion of propylene glycol than vegetable glycerine, such as 60% PG and 40% VG. This is different from nicotine type: the words nic salt or freebase do not tell you the VG/PG ratio by themselves.

Start with the ratio printed on your bottle, then match it to the pod or coil manufacturer’s recommendation. Do not assume a high-power coil is suitable because the same device can also take an MTL option.

Getting the Most From a High PG Liquid

Thin high PG liquid wicks fast, so it pairs with a 1.0 to 1.2 ohm coil at 10 to 15 watts

Propylene glycol is thin and carries flavour sharply, so a liquid with 60 per cent PG or more feels closer to a cigarette than any other blend: more throat hit, less vapour, and a flavour that lands on the tongue rather than filling the room. That thinness also means it wicks fast, and a coil that is too open lets it through faster than it can be vaporised. The result is a wet, spitting pod. The cure is the tight coil these kits are built around, 1.0 ohm or higher, at 10 to 15 watts.
