Expect one to two weeks per pod for average use. The coil is built into the pod on XROS models, so a fresh pod is a full reset. If flavour drops after days rather than weeks, your e-liquid is likely too sweet or too thick for the coil; a standard 50/50 blend restores normal life.
Run the checklist: charge it properly on a mains plug, reseat the pod, wipe the contacts dry, and make sure the device is switched on (five clicks) and unlocked. Nine times out of ten one of those is the fix. If it fires but tastes of nothing, the pod is spent rather than the device broken.
The chip cannot read the coil. Remove the pod or tank, clean both sets of contacts, reseat everything firmly and try again. If the message stays, fit a new pod or coil; a burnt-out or badly seated coil triggers it in almost every case.
The XROS pod kits go from flat to full over USB-C in roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The larger Gen and Luxe mods take longer but support higher charge rates, and all current models are fine to top up opportunistically through the day.
Leaks usually mean an overfilled pod, a worn coil or liquid left on its side in a warm pocket; fill to the line and store upright. Burnt taste means the cotton ran dry: refill sooner, prime new pods for five minutes, and avoid chain-vaping ten puffs in a row on small coils.
