The device is misreading the coil. Remove the tank or pod, wipe the contacts, reseat the coil firmly and reattach. If the message persists, fit a new coil; a burnt-out or badly seated coil is the cause in almost every case. On adjustable models also confirm the wattage suits the coil rating printed on its side.

Match the coil, not the brand. Coils above 0.8 ohm want 50/50 or nic salt liquid; sub-ohm coils below that want high-VG juice at low nicotine. The coil rating is printed on the coil itself, so a ten-second check saves a burnt hit.
