The In-Between Ratio
Most shortfills are 70/30 and most 10ml bottles are 50/50, which leaves a gap for anyone whose kit sits between the two. A 60/40 blend is thick enough to give a warm, rounded cloud from a 0.6 to 0.8 ohm coil, yet thin enough to wick through a 1.0 ohm pod without dry hits. That makes it the right choice for the pod mods and adjustable tanks that offer both draw styles, and for anyone who finds 70/30 muted in a small device.
Both ranges here come as 100ml shortfills at 0mg. Add two 18mg nic shots for 120ml at around 3mg, or one shot for a lighter 1.5mg, shake, and leave the bottle ten minutes. Bar Salts brings bar-style fruit and fizzy flavours at £13.99; Bad Drip covers the sweeter candy and dessert end at £14.99. With the 2 for £25 deal on the Bar Salts bottles, the cost per 10ml drops close to £1.

Set Up for 60/40
Coil
0.6 to 1.0 ohm. The mesh pods in most pod mods and MTL tanks land in this range.
Power and airflow
15 to 30 watts with the airflow half open. Close it for a tighter draw, open it for a warmer one.
Nicotine
Two 18mg shots give about 3mg, one gives 1.5mg. Shortfills are for people who have already stepped down.
60% VG E-Liquid FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use 60% VG liquid in a pod kit?
In most refillable pod kits, yes, as long as the coil is 1.0 ohm or below and you open the airflow. A very tight 1.2 ohm pod meant for 50/50 liquid may struggle to keep up. If the flavour fades and puffs feel dry, the coil is too tight for the liquid.
How many nic shots go in a 100ml 60% VG shortfill?
Two 10ml 18mg shots fill the bottle to 120ml at roughly 3mg. Adding shots also thins the mix slightly, since most shots are 50/50, which helps it wick in a pod mod. Shake well and let it sit for ten minutes before filling.
Is 60% VG better than 70% VG for flavour?
In a small device, usually yes. The extra PG carries flavour more sharply and the liquid wicks faster, so a pod mod at 20 watts tastes fuller on 60/40 than on 70/30. In a powerful sub ohm tank the difference is smaller and 70/30 gives the bigger cloud.
