Hyola Ultra 30K Review: Flavours, Refills and Daily Use

•8 min read•Reviews

The short answer

The Hyola Ultra 30K makes most sense for an existing adult vaper who wants to alternate between two loaded pods and already prefers a 20mg/ml prefilled system. Its useful feature is the mouthpiece selector: a paired edition lets you change flavour without carrying another device.

The compromise is choice. You buy compatible prefilled packs with set flavour combinations and nicotine strength. If you prefer one flavour at a time, the Hyola Pro Max 8000 is worth comparing; if you want bottled liquid or a different strength, consider an open refillable kit. The advertised 30,000 puffs alone is not a reason to choose it.

Key points

  • Keep the rechargeable device; replace the compatible Ultra 30K pod pack when it is used up.
  • Choose an edition by its named flavour pairing, not just the colour of the device.
  • Compare the kit and refill prices for your chosen edition. Puff claims do not establish a personal cost per day.

Below, we explain which parts you keep, how the selector works, and what the pack labels tell you about flavour choice. See the Hyola Ultra 30K kit for current editions, price and stock.

How this review was assessed

Research-only assessment

This assessment does not claim hands-on testing. It is based on the stated sources, product information, and clearly labelled editorial analysis.

Sample disclosure: Vape Forest sells this kit. The illustrations explain the hardware and selector; they are not photographs of a physical test.

Review limitations

  • We have not measured puff yield, battery runtime, charging time or leakage, and have not taste-tested these editions. There is no numerical performance rating.

What you keep, and what you replace

The coloured body is the rechargeable device. Hyola lists an 800mAh battery and USB-C charging. When the liquid pack is finished, you keep that body and buy a compatible replacement.

The black insert is the assembled pod pack. The published component description and photographs identify two sides, each with a 1ml coil pod and a 9ml supply reservoir: 20ml altogether. That total describes the whole pack, not one 20ml coil chamber.

A kit includes the power unit; a refill pack does not. Choose Ultra 30K replacement packs for this device. The illustration shows one complete assembled insert beside the device you retain.

How the flavour selector works

The mouthpiece selects one of the two loaded sides. For an edition containing two different recipes, that gives you a second flavour without changing the pack.

  1. Gently lift the mouthpiece.
  2. Turn it 180 degrees, which is half a turn.
  3. Lower it back into its seated position before taking a draw.

This sequence is shown in the illustrated setup guide and described in the published device review. It is the mouthpiece that moves; you do not need to remove the whole liquid pack just to select the other side.

For first assembly, follow the leaflet supplied with your pack, including removal of transport seals and connection of the pod and reservoir parts. Do not force a part that will not seat correctly.

Choose a flavour pairing, not just a colour

Comparison pointNames on the packWhy you might shortlist it
Mint EditionClassic Menthol + Strawberry MintA menthol-led option alongside a fruit-and-mint option.
Cherry EditionCherry Ice + Fizzy CherryTwo cherry-labelled recipes, with ice and fizzy cues.
Lemonade EditionBerry Lemonade + Pink LemonadeTwo lemonade-labelled blends if that is the flavour family you prefer.
Pineapple EditionPineapple Ice + Sour Pineapple IceKeeps pineapple as the common flavour, with a sour-labelled alternative.
Strawberry EditionStrawberry Raspberry Cherry + Strawberry Pear Lime IceTwo different fruit combinations built around strawberry.

Important context: Pairings were checked against packaging images in the Vape Forest gallery. These are interpretations of the names, not tasting notes or measured sweetness and cooling scores.

Check the full edition name before ordering

The pairings above follow the labels in our product packaging gallery. They are a shortlist: Vape Forest listed 22 options on 26 October 2026. Ruby, Pink, Fizzy and Strawberry Raspberry Cherry joined our catalogue on 23 October.

Strawberry Edition and the option named Strawberry Raspberry Cherry are different listings. Read the full pack label to check the recipe or pairing you are ordering, and use the current edition selector to check availability.

A paired edition is most useful when you like both named flavours. If one half is a flavour you would avoid, look for a different pairing instead of choosing by the case colour or the headline puff number.

What 30,000 puffs and 800mAh do not tell you

Hyola advertises up to 30,000 puffs. Treat that as a marketing maximum for the pack, not a personal minimum or a separate allowance for each side. The linked material does not provide a test protocol that lets us translate the claim into your number of days.

Draw length and frequency affect consumption. Battery capacity is a separate specification: having liquid left does not mean the battery is still charged. The front indicator helps you track charge; this review makes no all-day runtime or charging-time promise.

For comparisons, start with the refill format, compatible pack price and your own consumption history. Our puff-count guide explains why different advertised totals are not automatically comparable measurements.

Replacement routineKeep the body; buy Ultra 30K packsKeep the body; buy Pro Max 8000 packsCheck the exact model name. The packs are not interchangeable.

Important context: A specification-based comparison using the component report and Hyola Pro Max 8000 range description. No side-by-side flavour, weight or endurance test is claimed.

Our buying judgement

Choose the Ultra 30K for the selector and a pairing you actually want. Its extra liquid reserve is useful only if you are comfortable buying that closed pack again. The Hyola Pro Max 8000 gives you a simpler single-pod format to compare when switching is not important to you.

If changing nicotine strength or choosing bottled liquid matters more, compare an open refillable pod kit. Airflow and power adjustment vary by model, so check those features individually. We cannot name a flavour-quality or battery-life winner from these specifications alone.

Budget for the kit and the next refill

On 26 October 2026, our kit options were £8.99 or £10.99 depending on edition, and the separately sold Ultra 30K refill pack was £7.49. That makes a kit plus one additional pack £16.48 or £18.48 before delivery, any offers and a suitable USB-C cable if you need one.

This is a dated price example, not a fixed running cost. Check the kit options and replacement pack listing for current prices and availability. Keeping the battery body is the point of buying refills; dividing a pack price by an unverified puff maximum would not establish your cost per day.

Practical questions before buying

Can I add bottled e-liquid or choose a lower nicotine strength?

The reviewed packs are sealed and prefilled at 20mg/ml. They are not intended to be opened and filled with bottled liquid. If that strength or the available recipes do not suit you, choose a system that supports the liquid you want.

Is the Hyola Ultra 30K reusable?

Yes. You recharge the device and use it with compatible replacement packs. UK reusable-device criteria require rechargeability, refillability and a replaceable coil where one is present; that coil can be part of a replaceable pod. Refills and coil-containing replacements must be separately available. See the government guidance for the full criteria.

Do Pro Max 8000 replacement packs fit the Ultra 30K?

No. Buy packs labelled for the Hyola Ultra 30K. A matching brand name does not make the Pro Max 8000 pack compatible with this device.

Charging and care

Use the charging equipment specified for the device and do not leave it charging unattended or overnight. Stop using damaged hardware or a leaking pack, and keep the device and nicotine liquid away from children and pets.

This review is for adult users. The NHS advises that vaping is not risk-free and is not recommended for non-smokers.
