After years of using Vaporesso’s XROS range, I was genuinely excited to try the new Vaporesso Xros 5. I’ve used everything from the XROS 3 Mini to the XROS 4 Pro, so when this new model landed, I was curious to see if it was a real upgrade or just another refresh.

Spoiler alert — it’s genuinely brilliant. Vaporesso have nailed both performance and polish this time around, and it’s one of the best pod vapes I’ve ever used for both MTL and RDTL styles.

In this in-depth review, I’ll walk you through my personal experience with the Xros 5: its design, features, flavour output, and whether it’s worth upgrading to in 2025.

First-Time Setup

Coil Out

Bring the coil out from the device.

Remove the Cap

Simply lift off the top cap to access the filling port.

Fill with E-liquid

Insert the nozzle into the correct filling hole and refill without leaks. Fill pod to ~80% and wait 5 minutes to saturate the mesh.

Reassemble & Vape

Snap the cap back on, attach the pod to the device, and enjoy smooth vaping.

Xros 5 uses Vaporesso’s new COREX 2.0 mesh pods, and wow — the flavour is on another level.
The 0.4Ω pod gives that perfect sweet spot between dense vapour and bold flavour. I’ve used both nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids, and the results are consistently fantastic.

The clamshell top-fill design makes refilling quick and mess-free — no leaking, no sticky fingers. I love being able to see the e-liquid level clearly, which saves me from dry hits.

Compatible pods range from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω, making them suitable for both MTL and RDTL vaping styles. Personally, I prefer the 0.8Ω for all-day nic salt use.
